Oaksbark has undertaken participatory video projects with a variety of youth groups, including young people living in supported accommodation, LGBT Youth, Young Secured Units and young people from deprived urban and rural areas.
These participatory video projects have proven to be an invaluable tool for young people to shine, both from behind and in front of the camera. Filming requires working as a team, participating with ideas, being creative and overcoming personal challenges, which helps young people gain confidence, learn to work with others in a constructive way and improve their self steam to make further achievements.
